The OBXtek STAQSS II contract supports the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) organization, other PEOs as directed, and other Headquarters Air Force organizations where it is in the interest of the SAF/AQ to have an acquisition support presence within that organization. The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence. The contractor shall support the entire spectrum of acquisition and sustainment efforts as necessary to support the respective Government organizations.
**This position is currently telework eligible, with in person meetings happening 2-3 days per week. This position may be 100% onsite to meet the mission's needs.
The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Executive Action Group (SAF/AQE) provides executive support and independent recommendations on key acquisition issues that cut across all SAF/AQ organizations for direct use by the assistant secretary and military deputy. Personnel at the journeyman level in this position shall have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, with at least 3 years proven work experience supporting a Senior Executive Service (G.O. / SES) or similar role and a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Personnel will provide support to Senior Executives that ensure effective use of time and productive interactions with staff and other military/government executives. Handles a wide range of executive support-related tasks involving administrative functions, research, and management of tasks and projects. Previous experience at HQ/AF at the executive support level is highly desirable.
The tasks for this position include:
- Responsible for schedule management, office management, communication liaison, information preparation, company records management, data analysis, and representing the executive to others.
- Uses discretion and judgement and knowledge of organization to facilitate the executive's activities.
- Conserves executive's time by reading, researching, prioritizing, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collects and analyzes information; and initiates communications.
- Manages executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
- Completes and manages projects, distributes work to other AQE contracted personnel, follows up on results. Works closely with Executive Officer(s) and other assigned support staff.
- Plans and orchestrates complex and detailed meetings and events at the Pentagon and NCR locations.
- Handles confidential information, correspondence, and communications
- Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the COR.
Qualifications
Active Secret clearance
A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

Familiarity using Task Management Tool (TMT).
A total of 5 years of relevant experience per the tasks listed, with at least 3 years of that being proven work experience supporting a General Officer / Senior Executive Service (G.O./ SES) or similar role.

Previous executive support experience at the HAF (or equivalent staff) is highly desirable.
