About the Role

The Lead Therapist ­­­­­­­is an essential member of Spa’s leadership team which is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests and employees.

We are looking for an individual who possesses a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.  The ability to multitask and prioritize as well as having strong organizational skills are all essential for this position.

The Lead Therapist will be responsible for conducting weekly inventory, assisting with ordering in Birchstreet, training employees on standards and ensuring standards are met for cleanliness and maintenance of the Spa areas.  Organization of the professional and back stock items will be an important part of this role’s success.  The Lead Therapist will be responsible for ensuring that the consistency of service and Spa protocols are being met as well presentation of the Spa’s product and service is meeting brand’s standards.  This role will also be responsible for supporting the success of retail sales and tracking achievement of sales goals for the team.

Successful candidates will be a willing team player, comfortable with electronic systems and willing to accept assignments on as needed basis, in order to promote team-work. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Must possess current Illinois Massage, Aesthetic or Nail License.
• Three to five years previous experience providing treatments in a luxury spa setting.
• Previous Lead Therapist experience strongly preferred.
• Requires ability to work comfortably with various electronic systems to ensure success of the Spa.  Among these systems are Birchstreet, Book for Time, Microsoft Office 365 Workday, etc.
• A sincere willingness to provide service to our guests and peers. Excellent human relations skills, with a talent for motivating the guest to explore and participate in a variety of spa/fitness activities. Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.  
• Ability to function under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions. 
• High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team. Attentive to detail and accuracy. 
• Must have the ability to listen and understand guest needs, respect guest privacy, create an exceptional, customized and professional experience to our guests. 
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
