The Finance Operations Assistant will report to the Deputy Finance Director for Operations, and play a critical role in supporting our fundraising operation. The ideal candidate is hard-working, self-motivated and detail oriented. The Cooper for North Carolina team works in-person and this job requires that you are based in Raleigh, NC.
CompensationSalary: $4,750 per monthHealthcare premium covered by campaignHours: Full-time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in politics and Democratic campaigns
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Access to reliable transportation (and a valid driver's license)
- Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite
- Experience working with NGP is encouraged but not required
Responsibilities
- Support the Deputy Finance Director for Operations and Finance team in executing day-to-day fundraising activities;
- Maintain and update internal event and fundraising trackers, assisting the Deputy Finance Director for Operations in tracking revenue from multiple different streams;
- Assist in tracking stakeholder relationships and raise goals;
- Work with Deputy Finance Director for Operations to ensure Finance systems and processes, including compliance and scheduling, are up to date and functioning smoothly;
- Prepare agendas and take notes during internal and external meetings;
- Conduct donor research to identify new prospective donors and update existing donor records;
- Prepare detailed memos and materials for Finance team as needed;
- Complete donor outreach and follow up by email and phone;
- Coordinate intern and volunteer management for the Finance team;
- Assist with other campaign-related activities as needed, including supporting the Operations Department and compliance associates.
