Position Summary
This individual provides administrative support to the PA program faculty, Clinical Coordinators, Program Director, and Administrative Assistant. The GA may also assist with any and all projects associated with Gannon University’s Ruskin, FL, location. This individual CANNOT be enrolled in the Physician Assistant program.
Career Readiness Learning Objectives:
Critical Thinking, Communication, Teamwork, and Technology - The GA will build and maintain collaborative relationships with PA faculty and staff and other student workers, and will use systems to monitor and document inventory of supplies. The GA will clearly and effectively exchange information with the staff they are assisting in preparation of orders.
Professionalism -The GA will demonstrate integrity, accountability, and effective work habits by documenting hours and tasks worked, and communicating with the GA supervisor(s) at least weekly.
• This position runs through the academic year, up to five hours a week, during campus office hours. Exceptions are at the discretion of the GA supervisors.
• Responsibilities include filing, copying, making labels, creating/editing files and spreadsheets, monitor and document inventory of supplies, preparing orders for and restocking of lab supplies, and maintaining an effective working environment.
• Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude.
• Included in the work hours are regular meetings scheduled with one or more of the Graduate Assistantship supervisor(s): the PA Program Director (“PD”) and Secretary.
• All GAs must sign a FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) agreement to protect student confidentiality at all times.

This position requires someone who is highly organized and able to manage several tasks/projects at one time. He or she will work with the PA faculty, the Clinical Coordinators, and the PA Secretary managing files, creating and updating documents, and tracking student documents related to clinical rotations.
The person in this position has to be comfortable representing Gannon University in a professional way with community organizations.
Strong skills of attention to detail and personal initiative are a must for this position.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and previous administrative experience are preferred.
