About the role

Position Summary...

The Senior Director, Compliance and Governance will be responsible for overseeing multiple governance functions within the Last Mile Delivery (LMD) Trust and Safety (T&S) team including policy and process, platforms, compliance operations, and earnings governance.

What you'll do...

  • Governance Structure: Manage the implementation of workstreams that regulate and support T&S operations. Provide guidance on best practices, rules, and standards for core functions. Create a framework for decision making, change management, and process (SOP) documentation that empowers team members to work efficiently in a complex, high-growth environment.

  • Data and Tech Governance: Ensure T&S systems are appropriately integrated, access controlled, and serve as the ‘source of truth’ for compliance reporting, fraud investigations, identity management, driver decisioning, appeals, and similar functions. Partner with Tech on product development lifecycle best practices and ensure T&S priorities are included in platform roadmaps.

  • Compliance Operations: Collaborate with leaders to address trends, risks, and changes in the gig industry, and develop mitigation plans. Formulate strategies to meet T&S compliance needs while minimizing disruptions for customers, associates, and drivers. Remove roadblocks when urgent needs are escalated. Broker effective discussions on complex risk topics that require practical solutions.

  • Team Management: Attract, retain, and develop a high-performing team of leaders. Foster a culture of candor, data-driven decision making, creative solutioning, and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading teams.  

  • Experience in senior leadership positions.

  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
