Job Description

Performs financial analysis for purchasing. Forecasts requirements, issues periodic reports on trends, and negotiates pricing, discounts and contracts. Purchases materials, equipment, supplies, services and commodity products. Evaluates bids and selects and recommends suppliers. Negotiates price, delivery, quality and service. Follows up on all awards through completion of order. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, and losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Evaluates suppliers and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 0-4 year’s relevant experience or Associate degree and 4 plus years of relevant experience
