Your role as a Network Architect, you will be working both independently and in close collaboration with the whole Infrastructure team as well as our stakeholders globally.
In addition, you help us to improve our infrastructure in terms of a transformation to virtualization, automation processes as well as other initiatives improving our global set-up. We expect you to think on behalf of users at the production lines and how you can add value to and be of service in their daily work.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Build global roadmap for relevant technologies and processes, considering the requirements for different locations
- Assist in build business cases, ROI analysis, recommend and present project proposals at management meetings
- Define and document future architectures, ensure scalability be drive coordination/project management of global implementation of technical architectures
- Operation and maintenance of Global IT Operations – Production Infrastructure (GITO-PI) Network
- Being responsible for overview and control of life cycle management and take overall responsibility for deliveries to customers of Production Infrastructure in accordance to approved Service Level Agreements
- Being responsible for overview and control of life cycle management as well as assist in defining and documenting future architectures and ensure scalability
- Continuous improvement of Production Infrastructure in terms of a transformation to virtualization, process automation as well as other initiatives improving our global set-up
- Act as a Technical Lead in the relevant projects and stay ahead of industry trends and assess new products and technologies
- Represent GITO-PI on a strategic level e.g. in various steering committee, CAB meeting etc.
The successful candidate will have opportunity to work from Kalundborg with flexibility to work from home some of the time.
What we scout for
For this position, we hope to get a candidate on board who can tick off most of the following requirements:
- Bachelor´s degree or any higher qualification within IT, Engineering or a related field or relevant technology experience with high level technical certifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role with related responsibilities and tasks, involving work with network technology. This includes specification, design, implementation, and maintenance of IT solutions in large organizations
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, operations domain area, other IT technologies (e.g. covering networks, servers, platforms, applications, etc.)
- Good understanding of Cisco technology and strong knowledge of Wireless Networks and WLAN controllers
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Working experience with SolarWinds and Agile/SAFe framework are considered as a plus
On a personal level you have great planning, time management and interpersonal skills so you can easily navigate in a cross-cultural environment and communicate effectively with people both inside and outside of the organization, including vendors, consultants, and possibly customers and authorities. In addition, you have ability to quickly absorb new knowledge, and demonstrate a strong interest in developing new competencies.
We are welcome someone who has willingness to travel to our Production sites across Denmark as it`s required for the job.

Our Production IT Infrastructure department is responsible for setting the direction of a global uniform IT infrastructure in Product Supply by delivering compliant operations, effective IT Security controls and best-practice infrastructure standards.
Moreover, we look after the definition, implementation and maintenance of Product Supply IT network infrastructure (PSnet) supporting the manufacturing equipment and applications that are used in the production process. PSnet can be seen as a large network that connects and aligns all the Novo Nordisk productions networks in a uniform and regulated approach.
