<p>Description</p><p><strong>Northern Concrete Construction is an industry leader in large concrete construction jobs meeting needs of general contractors. </strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY: </strong></p><p>This role requires the employee to drive and operator equipment such as boom trucks, pump trucks, conveyors, semi’s, lifts, skid loaders, tractors, etc. in addition to Yard Laborer duties. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </strong></p><p>The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned. Individual will work a varied schedule based on client needs. </p><ul><li>Safely drive and operate boom trucks, pump trucks, conveyors, tractor trailers and any other equipment as required. </li><li>Load and unload trucks and executes job site deliveries in accordance with company safety and regulatory guidelines. </li><li>Perform annual DOT inspections and ensure compliance with all DOT and OSHA regulations. </li><li>Inspect vehicle, parts/accessories, load and securement to determine safe operating condition prior to departure on trip. </li><li>Operates vehicle in compliance with company rules and all applicable state and federal regulations, and in accordance with accepted principles of safe driving. </li><li>Perform minor vehicle and equipment repairs and preventative maintenance activities as needed. </li><li>Execute the material stocking process from vendors (ensure accuracy of PO). </li><li>Maintain the yard and all other Northern Concrete Construction, Inc.’s facilities and property. </li><li>Report all accidents or incidents of equipment damage involving employee or company equipment. </li><li>Maintain trip records as required. </li><li>Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, etc. </li><li>Proper use and care of all equipment assigned to him/her for the performance of his/her duties. </li><li>Load and unload equipment as required. </li><li>Involved in the manufacturing of jobsite materials (may include fabrication/welding). </li><li>Successfully inventory trucks with required materials and equipment. </li><li>Ensures the cleanliness of company vehicles, equipment and premises. </li><li>Complete repair and follow-up paperwork. </li><li>Order parts when needed. </li></ul><p>Requirements</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: </strong> </p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE </strong></p><ul><li>Basic knowledge of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance. </li><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>CERTIFICATIONS: </strong>Obtain and maintain within one (1) month of hire the following: </p><ul><li>Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A </li><li>Must maintain a Federal Medical Card </li><li>Aerial and lift certification </li><li>Successfully complete NCC Safety Training </li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS. </strong></p><ul><li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret state and federal regulations, driver’s logs, mileage records, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. </li><li>Ability to read schematics related to repair and maintenance of equipment. </li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. </li><li>Ability to read concrete plans. </li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS </strong></p><ul><li>Ability to comprehend and apply concepts of adding and subtraction two-and-three-digit numbers and basic algebra and geometry. </li><li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. </li><li>Ability to comprehend and apply principles of multiplication and division.</li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>REASONING ABILITY </strong></p><ul><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. </li><li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. </li><li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. </li><li>Ability to problem solve. </li></ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS </strong></p><ul><li>Ability to stand between 1/3 and 2/3 of the time. </li><
