Job Description

As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you’ll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You’ll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they’re needed most.

Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon/Morning 

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee

Requirements 

• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
• Security Experience: 1+ years
• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings while on patrol and report any unusual activity, maintenance issues, or hazards observed at the location.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors as needed, supporting security-related operations and policies.
• Complete all required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as per Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services if required, following protocols for the government environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Being at least 21 years of age is required.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
