Description

Position Summary


The Fitness Supervisor ensures quality guest service to the members and guests. He or she also ensures quality work from the entire staff. Maintains staff with a working agenda that is appropriate to each employee. This position requires knowledge in hospitality and exceptional customer service. He or she will assist the Fitness Director in reports, schedules and varied administrative functions. He or she will also be the acting manager when director is not present. This position requires consistent adherence to policies and procedures of the department as outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOP’S).

Requirements

Experience and Education Required

  • Education

High School diploma is required


  • Experience

Prior experience working in a Fitness Center is preferred


Skills Required


  • Must be able to:

Physical Demands


  • Must be able to:
  • Lift objects at least 60lbs throughout the day at all times without assistance.
  • Push and pull carts at least 200lbs daily and throughout the day without assistance.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Use, carry, and operate all necessary office equipment using finger dexterity.
  • Communicate with employees, managers, subordinates and guests through verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
  • Visually look at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel as thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems. Most work tasks are performed indoors.
