Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program.
This position will be located at our Aurora, Colorado site. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3 (Principal), depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance and SCI access. No clearance required to start [US Citizenship required]
Software Engineer - Level 2: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 2+ years of software development experience; 0+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Principal Software Engineer - Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with Git
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
STEM degree
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
Experience with Python, C, C++ and/or Go
Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm
Familiar working with Docker and Podman
Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite
