Compensation:                  $130,000 - $170,000 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience.

About the Job:

As a Senior AI Engineer you will be a critical member in executing our LLM initiative, which is aimed at enhancing user experiences in data analysis and decision-making through advanced AI Assistants within the OneStream platform. The AI Product and Engineering team is focused on bridging the gap between AI research and AI products, bringing tangible and quantifiable value to our end users.

Your primary function will involve overseeing the entire lifecycle of AI and software subsystems—from defining requirements and designing systems to project planning and implementation. This critical role is instrumental in enhancing our AI capabilities, directly impacting our products' performance and scalability across various markets.

In this position, you will also play a key leadership role, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Solution Engineering, AI Delivery, and Cloud Engineering. Your expertise will not only drive innovation but also mentor and guide other engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and promoting a culture of excellence.  

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications and services using a variety of front-end and back-end technologies.
• Implement Large Language Model assistants and agents, focusing on retrieval augmented generation (RAG), planning, using actions and tools, prompt engineering, and finetuning.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack, from the user interface to the database layer.
• Lead technical design sessions to decompose and design complex systems and interfaces, ensuring they meet both technical and user requirements.
• Lead code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers.
• Plan out product releases at a strategic and tactical implementation level for the rest of the team.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or relevant combination of education and experience.
• CS/DS/EE/CE Degree or similar experience.

Experience:

• 3-5 Years experience building and deploying production-level machine learning solutions or similar experience.
• 3-5 Years of Python (or similar experience).
• Proficiency in Database schema design.
• Proficiency of distributed systems and cloud-based computing.

Nice to Have:

• Experience building with non-relational databases
• Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-based computing
