Position Overview
The Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) group is seeking a Business Process Manager supporting Veterinary Medicine Research & Development’s (VMRD). This position will report to the Head of Resource Management and Portfolio Analytics and is part of a team that also consists of Project Managers and Coordinators.
This position will:
- Design, optimize and implement effective business processes that leverage the use of data/insights available to enhance efficiency of work practices
- Develop plans for process implementation including stakeholder management, training and communication
- Support business decision-making at various levels of the organization by providing data and analysis that enhance decision speed and quality across the organization
Primary Responsibilities
- Transform complex data insights into actionable strategies that drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will combine analytical expertise with strong communication and implementation skills to ensure insights lead to measurable impact
- Uses key performance indicators and other data to propose, create and implement business process improvements for areas such as system utilization and data quality, resource planning and utilization, project planning and execution, and expense forecasting and management.
- Collects and analyzes data on portfolio and project performance to identify trends, variances and insights to improve portfolio outcomes. Presents data insights and provides recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate on cross-functional teams to align expectations and ensure buy-in for process changes.
- Uses change management methodologies to support the adoption of new practices and philosophies, including stakeholder communication, training and other techniques to overcome resistance to change.
- Uses strong leadership and facilitation skills to guide workshops, influence stakeholders and drive process improvements.
- Work with other divisions within Zoetis (commercial, manufacturing) to collaborate on portfolio pipeline data analytics.
Qualifications
- Master preferred/Bachelor’s degree in a science or business field with a minimum of 10-15 years professional-level experience in business analytics and stakeholder engagement
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Experience in data analytics and project management systems (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Project, etc)
- Demonstrated ability in data aggregation and analytics for large data sets
- Demonstrate organizational, problem solving, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate well with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated use of influencing and soft skills to effectively lead change in a complex setting.
