Position Description:

The University of Louisville is seeking to hire an IT Technology Support III. The position will assist with planning, coordinate acquisition and provide asset management, front line departmental support, troubleshooting and problem resolution for endpoint and AV technology, including voice, data and video. Plans and coordinates appropriate training for staff and administration on the use of endpoint and AV technology/software. Coordinate and support AV services for departmental and university meeting spaces. Provide support to faculty and staff engaged in research by assisting with data preparation, transfers and storage. Manages departmental technology resources and ensures technology is adhering to university standards. Coordinates all technology purchases. Consults on new technology and how existing technology may be leveraged to gain efficiencies within departmental functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line technology support for university departments and administration.

  • Assist with endpoint and AV equipment lifecycle to include meeting spaces.

  • Consult with departments and administration on appropriate use of technology.

  • Monitor assigned service request queue/tickets ensuring accurate resolution and completion of computer and equipment repair for customers.

  • Coordinates with third party vendors for repair or replacement of covered computer equipment.

  • Support and maintain new technologies.

  • Build, configure, and modify workstations and images, including installation of operating systems, applications, and company-specific files; configuring security settings; adding hardware drivers; and updating/patching operating system/applications.

  • Maintain ongoing inventory of computers and related peripherals.

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Three (3) year’s related experience.

  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet multiple, competing deadlines.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

  • Higher education experience.

  • Familiar with MAC IOS/OS

  • Experience with MS O365

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
