Job Description
Responsible for all payroll activities for the Americas region, ensuring accuracy, compliance to laws and regulations in this area, including processing periodic payroll and managing vacation balances.
Prepare reports as required.
Support various audit related activities as required.
Create best-in-class payroll processes for the region. Own and document all payroll processes with workplace instructions.
Record the payroll journal entries and reconcile the related Balance Sheet accounts.
Process expense reports and ensure compliance to company policies.
Qualifications
Expert knowledge in all aspects of multi-state payroll, in compliance with federal and state requirements in the USA.
Previous experience in other countries would be a benefit and the interest to learn payroll in other countries to support the business is desired.
Ability to prioritize and act with discretion
Comfortable being a single point of contact
Strong internal control mindset, process oriented, organized.
Experience at implementing a new payroll provider is an asset.
Knowledge of General Accounting concepts to support the journal entries and account reconciliation activities
