Governance & ControlJob Description:
The Quality Control Specialist IV inspects quality of credit reporting prior to submission.
Depth & Scope:
- Performs quality reviews of highly complex loan documentation to reduce risk of loss and ensure policy and regulatory compliance
- Completes quality control analysis of standard and nonstandard loan documentation
- Provides ongoing Customer Service, ensures data integrity and performs various functions related to the workgroup to avert losses and reduce undue risk
- May lead activities of documentation unit, assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work
- Provides support and coaching to less experienced quality control personnel
- Resolves complex unusual irregularities and items not in compliance with applicable regulations and/or Company policy
- Applies knowledge of Company policies to determine next steps in resolving outstanding issues
- Formulates and executes plans to resolve complex issues and involves others as appropriate
- Makes recommendations to management for improvement in processes related to files or areas of evaluation
- Evaluates trends in errors within assigned groups and suggests modifications to business processes to diminish errors
- May meet with management of business lines to discuss appropriate measures for error reduction.
- Follows-up on unresolved issues to ensure resolution
- Contacts appropriate departments, Employees, vendors, and Customers to ensure completion of unfinished items
- Creates documentation and status tracking methods to ensure timely completion of unresolved issues
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED, 2 year degree preferred
- 5+ Years of related experience
- In-depth knowledge of Company policy and applicable regulations
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge, research, and understanding to a specific problem or file in order to facilitate resolution
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize activities based on business objectives
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven ability to apply techniques to research and uncover questionable information in reviewed work
- Demonstrated ability to resolve problems efficiently and tactfully
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance to others, clarifying complex policies and procedures and facilitating knowledge-sharing

- FCRA experience
- Retail Card Service experience
- TSYS experience
- E-Oscar experience
