Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Graduate Assistant will coordinate efforts across campus to support EKU's first-generation college students (First Colonels). First Colonels comprise approximately 30% of our first-year student population and we proactively reach out to these students to offer guidance and support. Under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Director of Student Success and the Director of the Student Success Center, the Graduate Assistant will actively assist in the support of the First Colonels through programming, outreach, interventions, and providing a support network. The incumbent will also provide leadership and training for the EKU Gurus and support programming of the Student Success Center. This position is an excellent fit for graduate students who are passionate about participating in the transition, persistence, and success of first-year, first-generation students.

• Must be enrolled in EKU's Graduate School
