Job Description

The International Warehouse Supervisor will work with the International Leadership Team to meet or exceed profitability goals and maintain customer satisfaction through excellent communication, problem resolution and continuous process improvement.  

The International Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of  Warehouse Team Members who fulfill the orders for international shipments, customer service with our International Franchisees, and assist with managing all export documentation. 

The Supervisor will assume Manager duties and coverage in the absence of the Manager and work with the team to load containers where needed.

$72-76K DOE

Monday to Friday 6:00am to 3:00pm

Weekends as needed


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

(80%) Assist the Warehouse Team Leader in all aspects of warehouse operations

Leadership:

  • Recruit and interview new team members
  • Keep Warehouse Team Leader informed of potential problems
  • Attend and participate in annual Leadership & Development training sessions
  • Assign job tasks according to shipping schedules
  • Coordinate team member tasks and responsibilities to receive, store, and load food product and support goods in accordance with established company standards and procedures and within budgeted guidelines, while controlling cost
  • Ensure a safe and positive work environment in compliance with OSHA, company standards, local state, and federal requirements
  • Utilize and train team members on handheld scanner to perform all functions: pick, sort, pack, receive, stock, etc.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships

Reporting:

  • Assist in compiling daily key indicators
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork

Warehouse Inventory Planning:

  • Maintain inventory control through effective warehouse methods
  • Assist team leader with quarterly counting and/or annual physical inventories using solo chain system reports, inventory software in order to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Create weekly loading schedule for receiving, warehouse and ICL departments.

Warehouse Operations:

  •  Review load sheet and verify accuracy of assembled load
  • Make recommendations to Team Leader on operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current
  • Assist team leader with being always audit and 5s ready
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader and/or Director

(20%) As needed, fills in for Warehouse team member and performs tasks necessary to meet warehouse goals

Qualifications

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field. International / Exporting Logistics preferred 
  • 2+ years of international freight experience and export knowledge
  • Verify requirements, documentation and products are audit ready for USDA weekly inspections.
  • Bilingual English, Spanish a plus
  • Previous supervisory experience needed
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • General understanding of Accounting Principles
  • Ability to pass and maintain forklift certification 
  • Ability to secure a passport and travel internationally preferred
  • 2-3 years of warehouse, manufacturing or production experience
  • 2- 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Basic understanding of 5S and Kaizen
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  •  Must successfully pass a background checks every third year on your anniversary date

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  •  Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on occasion, perform heavy pushing/pulling of product, work in refrigerated conditions [33-38 degrees], and work in environment with exposure to loud machinery, when necessary
  • Must be able to work around yeast and flour
