Job Description

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced electrical engineers and contribute to various projects within the AECOM. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to real-world electrical engineering tasks. You will be exposed to a range of activities, from assisting in design and testing to supporting project documentation and problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Design Support: Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Help conduct tests and experiments on electrical equipment and prototypes, and assist in identifying and resolving issues or malfunctions.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Gather data from experiments and tests and aid in the analysis of results to provide valuable insights.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized documentation of engineering activities, including reports, drawings, and project updates.
• Support in Project Management: Collaborate with the engineering team to monitor project progress, deadlines, and milestones.
• Research: Conduct research on new technologies, industry trends, and best practices to contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and minimize potential hazards.
• Communication: Participate in team meetings, share progress updates, and actively communicate with colleagues to foster a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a relevant electrical engineering degree program or a related field.
• Knowledge of fundamental electrical engineering principles and concepts.
• Familiarity with electrical circuit analysis and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, SPICE).
• Basic understanding of electrical components and systems.
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn from experienced engineers
