Swirlds Labs Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Richardson, TX location.

You may find yourself doing all of the following:

• Develop internal applications in support of the Hedera Hashgraph software platform by integrating various aspects using the Java software language
• Fortify company databases with specialized knowledge of Computer Science, developing a geo-distributed database architecture with SQL
• Refine and build upon sample applications including web, mobile and embedded development to strengthen the efficacy of the platform
• Establish services features, such as crypto, topics, tokens, files and smart contracts using Protobuf and gRPC
• Heighten the performance of architectural systems, design patterns and libraries through the platform deployment
• Assist/Mentor software engineers to identify core functionalities required within the Hedera Hashgraph platform, focusing on the level of security and the overarching performance needs
• Analyze users’ needs and software requirements in order to determine the feasibility of design, considering both time and cost constraints
• Coordinate with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and project managers to accrue information on Hedera Hashgraph’s performance requirements and interfaces
• Design, test, develop and enhance software solutions to meet the needs of employees across departments
• Establish operational specifications, software requirements and performance benchmarks to maximize Hedera Hashgraph’s operational success and utilization
• Upgrade interfaces, improve performance, correct errors and adapt to new hardware as needed throughout the testing and validation of the Hedera Hashgraph’s implementation

Qualification Requirements:

Requirements: Must have a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or a related position. 

Two (2) years of the required experience must include:

• Using Java Software language expertise to develop, design and test applications, including backend systems and frontend JavaFX applications
• Developing, designing and testing Distributed Ledger Technology algorithms and data structures in order to write distributed software efficiently
• Utilizing knowledge of Database Management used in projects to develop geo-distributed applications
• Leveraging Layer 1 Distributed Ledger Technology in order to develop technology for software platforms
• Utilizing Networking and Docker skills for testing and distributing distributed applications
• Identifying Design Patterns on a daily basis to develop applications effectively
• Using JProfiler to measure code performance and detecting memory leaks in Java software applications
• AND Designing and developing application programming interfaces using Protobuf and gRPC
