Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly Financial statement package including Flux analysis for internal and external review.
  • Coordinate with SEC team to prepare supporting files as needed for Forms 10Q and 10K.
  • Own final review of company wide revenue recognition amounts and procedures. 
  • Supporting the technical accounting team with research and documentation for a variety of complex and non-standard transactions as well as general corporate accounting matters
  • Review vendor and customer contracts and recommend/document appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Monitors broader accounting team and dedicated consultants to improve close timing, quality of reconciliations, and speed of audit.
  • Help to maintain a rigorous and well documents Sox and internal audit environment. 
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and work with the team to alleviate and resolve discrepancies and inconsistences on a timely basis. 
  • Collaborate with other groups and/or departments in order to implement new accounting standards, including assessing the reporting implications and ensuring the availability of requisite information for financial reporting.
  • Support maintaining, updating, and evaluating new accounting policies
  • Be a key part of the annual audit with external auditors, the accounting team, and executive management. 

Required Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • CPA required
  • 10+ years of experience required – some Big 4 experience preferred
  • Public company experience required (preferably from working at a public company)
  • Netsuite, Salesforce and Workiva experience a plus.
  • Comprehensive and current understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting principles and regulations
  • Thorough understanding of ASC 606 and provide guidance to the team
  • Understanding and experience with researching accounting standards
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley / internal control frameworks
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A “roll up your sleeves” approach in order to accomplish all necessary tasks
