Job Description

Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties related to the meat department and assists in fulfilling customer orders at the meat counter with professional and efficient service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


Prepares, packages, and prices product as directed
Assists customers with orders placed at meat counter
Stocks and rotates merchandise as directed
 Monitors and maintain quality control standards
Comfortable with using and handling knives, meat slicers, etc.
Abides by food safety best practices
Maintains a current knowledge of product
Provides excellent customer service
Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy
Maintains a clean and organized work area free of hazards
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned


 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)


Demonstrates proper phone etiquette while taking orders/messages
Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
Ability to provide assistance to deli and seafood departments as needed
