The Radiological Technologist III Lead provides expertise to coordinate the overall operation of the Imaging Department to include training CT Technologists and participating in the development of written protocols. The successful incumbent will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation in an acute care hospital setting with a level II trauma program. The incumbent uses independent judgment to operate and be accountable for radiographic equipment. The incumbent produces quality radiographic examinations within the standards of department regulations and regulatory agencies and in a manner consistent with a safe, professional environment for all. Accurately performs radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations upon a physician's order. Maintain and consistently demonstrates competence in performing patient education, positioning, technique setting, restraint and transportation for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as required for all ages of patients served, whether neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric.Job Description:
EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Graduate of a JRCERT approved school of radiography
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
- ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists
- CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
- RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
- Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform radiographic procedures independently.
- Level II trauma experience and Surgical experience with portable c-arm
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures offered in an acute care/level II trauma setting is required.
- Understands radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to staff and patients.
- Able to recognize potential abnormalities and prioritize accordingly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively communicate with patients and allied health care staff.

Pay Range is $59.90 to $73.02 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
