Financial Advisor

Location: Joliet, IL
Basic Function: We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Financial Advisor to step into a succession opportunity with an established book of business. This is a unique chance to build relationships with existing clients while continuing to grow the practice.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse base of clients, offering personalized financial plans and investment strategies.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients while transitioning the book of business as part of a succession plan.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews and ensure clients are on track to meet their financial goals.
• Identify opportunities for additional financial products and services based on clients’ evolving needs.
• Collaborate with internal support teams and external partners to deliver comprehensive service and solutions.
• Proactively generate new business through referrals, networking, and community involvement.

Knowledge/Experience:
• Experience managing or transitioning a book of business.
• Background in retirement planning, wealth management, or estate planning.

Skills:
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong knowledge of investment products, financial planning tools, and portfolio management.
• High ethical standards and a fiduciary mindset.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and organized with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and financial planning software

Education/Training:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor or similar client-facing financial services role.
• Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses (or Series 63 and 65).

Physical/Other Requirements: May sit at workstation for extended periods of time; may view video display screen for extended periods of time also. Periods of fast pace are normal particularly when working to meet deadlines.
