As a Project Manager, you will serve as the operational glue between engineering, product, and business stakeholders. Your focus will be to ensure sprint success by managing dependencies, refining team-level backlogs, and facilitating clear communication between teams. You will coach product owners on effective user story development, help track capacity and velocity, and foster continuous improvement through ceremony facilitation. You will produce monthly and quarterly score cards that help evaluate quality, performance and the effectiveness of new tools and technologies to grow velocity.
Candidates must have experience managing software projects with task tracking tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub Projects.

What You'll Be Doing
- Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure stories are well-defined, estimated, and prioritized.
- Work with dev leads to maintain team-level sprint boards and ensure accurate capacity planning.
- Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and blockers.
- Collaborate with engineering managers and leads to align timelines and expectations.
- Escalate risks proactively and drive mitigation strategies.
- Drive backlog refinement sessions to ensure readiness of stories for upcoming sprints.
- Ensure acceptance criteria, estimates, and definitions of ready/done are clear and actionable.
- Support transition of features from development through QA, UAT, and release.
- Mentor teams and product owners in Agile best practices while remaining flexible to context.
- Encourage continuous improvement through team health checks and retrospectives.
- Help evolve the Agile process to meet the maturity level and needs of each team.
- Track progress using monthly and quarterly scorecards.
- Use ADO to manage work items, epics, and velocity reporting.
- Track story points, hours, and team throughput to inform planning and capacity.
- Create and maintain dashboards to provide visibility into sprint progress and delivery.
What You'll Bring
- 5-7 years of experience in Product Management or Agile Project Management or Scrum Master roles in software development.
- 2-3 years in Scrum Master and Project Management role reporting to executive staff.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with a pragmatic mindset — able to adapt processes to fit the needs of a small, growing company rather than following them dogmatically.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps concepts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to lead meetings and influence without authority.
- Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub Projects for backlog and sprint management.
- Experience managing and configuring:
- Iterations and Area Paths for scalable team planning.
- Story Points, Hours, and Capacity for team estimation and forecasting.
- Velocity Tracking for sprint delivery insights.
- Ability to visualize and track dependencies across multiple teams and projects.
- Skilled in producing reporting artifacts (burn-downs, cumulative flow diagrams, capacity reports).
- Familiarity with financial concepts relevant to loan syndication, tranches, waterfall models, and deal execution workflows is a strong plus.
