Chief Financial Officer-Global
We have a current opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer. In this role you will report to the CEO and lead Amplity’s Global finance team. This is a remote role. Purpose of Role
The Global Chief Financial Officer for Amplity will work together with our company’s CEO, leadership team, and private equity partners to develop and implement the corporate strategy to profitably grow the business (organically and through acquisitions) and drive continued value creation. The CFO will act as a thought partner to the CEO and will be a hands-on, operationally focused leader that is able to define and drive operational and financial excellence.
In terms of functional accountability, the CFO leads all aspects of financial management including working capital optimization, accounting and financial reporting, corporate finance, capital markets, financial planning & analysis, tax, treasury, M&A analysis/negotiations/financial integration, margin enhancement, and functional support to other areas of Amplity including operations. The CFO is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including lenders, investors, and auditors. Leading Amplity’s global finance organization, the CFO is expected to drive a culture of high performance and transparency aligned with our company’s values.
Key Accountabilities
- Serve as a strategic and analytical thought partner to the CEO and leadership team to achieve key financial goals. Provide ongoing, detailed and substantive financial communication and analysis to the leadership team.
- Serve as a liaison with private equity investors, including ensuring financial stewardship for the company as well as confirming that their information needs are met (e.g. dashboard/flash reporting).
- Develop and lead a strong, appropriately structured, cost-effective finance organization that has the processes, systems, controls, and talent to effectively support the growing business platform, ensuring the capability to successfully scale and mature with the company over time.
- Collaborate with business and support functional leaders in deploying appropriate processes and metrics that drive company growth and profitability objectives.
- Maintain overall responsibility for the financial operations of the company, including planning and analysis, cash and debt management, forecasting and budgeting, accounting, reporting, treasury, audit, and tax.
- Continuously track and report on the company’s performance relative to plan. Call-out the need for timely, appropriate corrective action and lead or guide the development of mitigation actions to put the company back on plan. Synthesize key commercial and operational takeaways from the financials.
- Provide financial support to strategic transactions, including playing a key role in M&A activities, including due diligence and integration.
- Contribute meaningfully to operational issues and efficiencies including major contract structuring and negotiation, contract risk evaluation, costing evaluations, and pricing.
- Support the CEO and the investors to achieve significant growth.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
- Advanced degree in Finance, Business, Management, or related field strongly preferred
- Proven experience as a hands-on, private equity-backed Chief Financial Officer in a global, growth-oriented business environment of scale.
- Well-rounded background, including experience across operational finance, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Exit experience highly preferred.
- Experience working for a global B-2-B consulting and/or services company (serving the pharma/med device/related industry sectors a plus) highly preferred.
- Forward-looking strategy and planning orientation.
- Lender and investor negotiation skills.
- Deal experience and fluency, including identifying, assessing, valuing, structuring and executing transactions, as well as integrating new businesses required.
