The candidate must hold, at minimum, a master's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in the field of instruction or closely related discipline at time of hire. Preferably has completed most or all of the requirements for the doctorate or equivalent. Must be able to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching.
General Description/Primary Purpose:
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is seeking a part-time, 12-month, non-tenure earning, Instructor to teach graduate clinical nutrition courses. This position will report to the Department Chair, Dr. Andrea Arikawa.
Position responsibilities include but not limited to:
Teach assigned courses in Nutrition, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives
Hold regular office hours to provide academic support and guidance to students
Maintain effective communication with students, addressing inquiries and providing timely feedback
Adhere to department guidelines and procedures, fostering a collaborative and professional environment
Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 4, 2025
Working Hours: Varies
Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role

Required Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian credentials
PhD in Nutrition or DCN, and at least five (5) years of experience working in a clinical setting
Teaching/Education experience for at least three (3) years
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
Experience teaching online courses
