Senior Product Manager Product Manager - Service Offerings

As Senior Product Manager for Service, you will oversee and lead the development, launch, and ongoing management of "Service" products. You will act as a bridge between stakeholders, engineering, and design to create valuable products that exceed Customer needs. This position is a mixture of downstream and upstream marketing with balanced focus on new product development and initiatives centered on marketing & sales strategies and execution. If you have a growth mindset, like a combination of strategy creation, hands-on execution and thrive in a collaborative team environment, STERIS is the perfect place for you to grow.

 

This is a Hybrid role with the expectation of working onsite 2 days per week at our Mentor, OH Headquarters.

What will you do as a Sr. Product Manager?

You will play a critical role in the product portfolio vision, conducting and leading market research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, setting portfolio priorities, and ensuring successful product delivery & support. In addition, but not limited to you will:

Product Strategy:

• Define product and marketing communications strategy and roadmap based on market trends, customer needs, and business goals.
• Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and drive innovation.
• Create and drive short and long-term product /procedural planning process within assigned product/procedural areas to achieve corporate goals

 

Product Planning and Execution:

• Collaboratively identify issues, opportunities and associated strategies areas through frequent conversations and interactions with Customers, Sales Leadership and Account Managers to translate product requirements into actionable plans.
• Prioritize features, create detailed product specifications, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

 

Team Management and Leadership:

• Manage one or more development teams and possibly mentor junior product managers.
• Act as a bridge between different stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Customers, and internal teams

What skills, abilities, and experience is needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other Technical discipline, Marketing or Communication
• 10+ years of relevant business experience as a Product Manager or similar.
• 7+ years of experience in Product Management/Marketing experience, preferably in Capital Equipment
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and interpersonal skills, with track record of successfully motivating cross functional teams.
• Developed  and strong problem-solving, negotiation, analytical and project management skills
• US and global experience in Life Sciences or regulated industry preferred
• Strong sense of urgency for executing strategic plans and achieving product revenue goals 
• Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally (25%)
