About this Role
Probst Electric is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Administrative and Onboarding Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new hires, supporting both administrative processes and employee engagement from offer acceptance through Day One.

What You'll Do
- Coordinate and execute onboarding tasks, including pre-employment screenings, background checks, and paperwork completion.
- Maintain accurate and timely entry of new employee data into HR systems (e.g., JD Edwards, iCIMS).
- Communicate with new hires to guide them through onboarding steps and resolve inquiries promptly.
- Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to confirm start dates and ensure readiness for Day One.
- Prepare and organize onboarding documentation and employee files in compliance with company SOPs.
- Support HR Director and HR team with administrative needs and department priorities.
- Coordinate department meetings, including scheduling, agenda prep, and follow‑up on action items.
- Manage and track HR department projects, ensuring progress updates, timelines, and completion of deliverables.
- Support HR projects related to onboarding improvements and employee experience initiatives.
- Uphold confidentiality and integrity of HR records at all times.
What You'll Bring
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or HR support experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage sensitive information professionally.
Preferred:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- HR certification
- Experience in utility construction or similar industry.
