About the role

Site: The General Hospital Corporation

Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, business people, tech experts, researchers, and systems analysts to advance our mission. As a not-for-profit, we support patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care. We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.

Our research group is interested in the cell biological basis of rare Mendelian diseases with highly tissue-specific manifestations, particularly those which disorder proteostasis (the process by which proteins are accurately synthesized, trafficked, and degraded). Our ongoing work focuses on diseases of protein aggregation in the brain and the lungs. We utilize a variety of experimental systems including cultured cells, organoids, and genetically engineered mice, applying tools including CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, protein and small molecule mass spectrometry, RNA analysis, sequencing, confocal microscopy, basic biochemistry, and in vivo disease modeling.
