Senior Credit Analyst, AR
The position of Senior Credit Analyst works within the Regional Shared Service Center, supporting all North American entities. As a member of the RSSC credit team your primary responsibility will be working with internal and external stakeholders, as well as our insurance company to establish credit limits and terms in compliance with global company policies while using a high level of understanding from our credit risk agency reports. This position reports to the Credit Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain a close relationship with our credit insurance company by reviewing, analysing, and submitting customer information, daily.
• Evaluate new and existing client relationships by performing credit analysis and interpretation of company financials to mitigate risk and any exposure to bad debt
• Coordinate the sharing of customer financial information for privately held companies by facilitating the use of NDA’s as well as setting up meetings between our insurance company and the customer to help secure insurance coverage.
• Conduct credit investigations and analyse diverse credit information sourced from DSV historical internal data and external credit sources.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings for customers with sizable credit limits where the internal risk is greater than the set threshold to all levels of management.
• Work closely with sales and customer service teams to ensure efficient and effective credit management.
• Work proactively to reduce cost to DSV by analysing accounts for Blue Chip.
• Maintain a routine periodic and annual review of existing accounts to ensure accuracy of established credit limits where there is internal risk.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in credit management.
• Create and maintain a credit scoring model to assess risk.
• Support Credit Supervisor with credit risk reduction projects and financial training of staff.
Skills:
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in a credit department preferred.
• Must demonstrate advanced Excel skills, particularly V-Lookup/Pivots/Formulas.
• Experience analysing D&B and Credit Risk Monitor credit report data for B2B credit decisions preferred.
• Experience making credit decisions based on an approval matrix and company criteria.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all levels of management.
• Must have excellent analytical skills and demonstrate creative thinking in problem-solving.
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise independent judgment and analysis.
• Must present a professional, business like manner and excellent customer service skills.
• SAP experience preferred.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $70,000 - $80,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
