Summary:
The Financial Reporting Analyst will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and standardization of financial reporting and closing processes. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve monthly closing timelines, develop reconciliation tools, and support the integration of systems and procedures across subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Collaborate with the finance team to implement more efficient methods for completing key closing tasks, with the goal of reducing closing days.
Reconciliation Development: Implement reconciliation working papers, ensuring alignment with team expectations and accounting standards.
Accruals & Estimates: Post and follow up accruals and estimates as needed to support the closing process, and perform monthly follow-ups to validate accuracy.
Variance Analysis: Perform variance and flux analysis for specific accounts, following the Company’s standards for financial reporting and performance monitoring.
Integration Projects: Actively participate in integration projects, ensuring alignment of processes and data consistency across systems.
Collaborate on year-end and quarterly external group financial audits.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2 - 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial analysis (Big 4 experience will be highly valuated)
Knowledge of financial reporting principles (experience with US GAAP will be a plus).
Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis and reconciliation tools.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment
Experience in process improvement or automation initiatives and / or previous exposure to system integration or transformation projects will be highly valued.
Fluent in Spanish and English is required, with the ability to conduct meetings with international colleagues.
