Position Summary:

The Warehouse Coordinator will effectively manage and coordinate all manufacturing warehouse operations for the Hitachi Astemo operation located in Tallapoosa, GA

Responsibilities

  • Develop Warehouse schedule, communicate with the planning process to streamline and smooth out loading activity.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations at each site, ensuring compliance with KII/HNI standards.
  • Maintain customer focus at all times and work to resolve customer issues.
  • Exercise direct supervision of front-line leaders with respect to shipment volume, cost and quality metrics, and execution of shipping schedules to meet customer complete and on time (COT) goals.
  • Understand, support, and execute the achievement of performance measures based on KPI objectives.
  • Forecast labor requirements; recommend and implement equipment or layout change.
  • Conduct supervisory responsibilities, including staffing, member performance management, training and development, and member disciplinary actions.
  • Investigate and address operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with site teams to develop proactive solutions and preventive measures.
  • Implement best practices to optimize operational workflows.
  • Work closely with site managers to address any operational challenges.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present findings to senior management and collaborate on action plans.
  • Actively works to create the environment to be an employer of choice.
  • Able to balance customer and company needs.
  • Supports our Environmental Management System (EMS).

Job Description:

This position reports directly to the PC&L Manager. This role is responsible for the ERP, Inventory Management, and internal distribution system. The successful candidate will collaborate across functions to achieve business objectives. The primary purpose of the Warehouse Coordinator position is to ensure no downtime is encountered because of non-availability of in-process materials, manage the inventory and internal distribution system, and adhere to the Astemo procurement standards. The Warehouse Coordinator will work with the 3PL service provider at the external warehouse to execute the fulfilment of requirements to operate the manufacturing facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with inventory management and/or ERP systems
  • Minimum 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
