Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to support a government contract in the National Capital Region (NCR).  The ideal candidate will be able to identify, assess, and address security issues.  Additionally, the Cybersecurity Specialist will coordinate with the IT team and customer management.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensuring security issues are addressed quickly on discovery. 
• Investigating computer and information security incidents.
• Applies advanced knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with poly
• Requires 4 years of relevant experience and Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity or related field. Work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated experience applying efficient task management and ability to adjust to changing requirements
• Demonstrated experience working as part of a team
• Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of POA&Ms and vulnerability management
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure design, routed data protocols, and hardware platforms.
• Basic understanding of technologies such as DHCP, DNS, SSH, TCP, and UDP.
• Knowledge of WAN and LAN, routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of security device architecture, engineering, and installation/management. 
• Knowledge in Operating Systems such as Windows, Cisco IOS, and RHEL.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
