Fullstack Engineer - Empire Podcasting

We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator tools with the best team in the creator economy, and looking for a Fullstack Engineer to support our mission.

This role is based in New York and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

About the Role

• Lead and contribute to the design and development for top podcast creators on and off Patreon

• Able to own and drive a project on from start to finish: from brainstorming with PM and designers envisioning new product, designing and building the solution, to working with Product Marketing and Creator Customer facing teams on rollout and monitoring strategies. 

• Advocating for best patterns and practices in the area of system design, performance, observability and testing

About You

• 4+ years of experience in fullstack software development

• Strong experience with Python or a similar language

• Strong experience with React, next.js, Typescript or Javascript

• Strong understanding of web servers, API designs and data modeling

• Excellent communication skills to facilitate requirements gathering, decision making and with cross-functional teammates. 

• Holds a high standard of quality and craft with an eye for UX and engineering detail

• A track record of building user facing scalable products

• Enthusiastic about building for creators, especially for podcasters
