Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintenance A is responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, welding and repair of facilities and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs systems, general equipment, and facilities.

• Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs of plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems.

• Performs general welding in repairing equipment and framing molds for tooling.

• Oversees the work of full-time helpers; instructs, trains, and assists team engaged in related operations

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: None   

• Preferred Degree:  High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Experience: custodial or maintenance preferred

• Drivers License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Knowledge of a variety of general maintenance, electrical and plumbing hand and power tools, forklifts, tractors, and motor vehicles.

• Mig Welding

• Mechanical skill

• Troubleshooting

• Customer service

Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
