Collins Aerospace’s Global Technical Solutions team is looking for a Senior Tech, ECAD Drafting/Designer Services to join our Electronics Computer-Aided Drafting (ECAD) organization. We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectations.

What You Will Do:

• Plans, lays-out, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation ECAD drawings from basic layouts, references, and schematics.

• Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by other in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices using computer aided design systems.

• Designs electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

• Prepares complete production detail drawings/models.

• Responsible for design and documentation of new or modified Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs) or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs)

• Relies on previous experience, judgement, and standard procedures to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals

• May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of team members

• Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience 

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this contract 

• 2+ years experience designing Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) and/or Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) with tools such as Mentor Graphics, Zuken, Valor, Cadence, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience reading and understanding assembly drawings, circuit card schematics, and assembly instructions

• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques

• Experience evaluating engineering processes and providing recommendations to increase efficiency

• Knowledge in Power Electronics is a plus.
