About the role

Job Summary
The Director is responsible to lead all aspects of the Specialized Behavioral Health Services that include the following programs: Assertive Community Treatment and the Center for Schizophrenia (First episode of Psychosis program). The Director assures quality and intensive services are provided in a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented framework to reduce hospitalizations/commitments for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

The Director works with the Team Leads to provide clinical supervision and administrative oversight to the programs and coordinate with all departments to implement the project goals and objectives and ensure programs comply with specific evidence-based practices. The Director supervises and collaborates with the Team Leads on service coordination between agency programs and other community providers. Participates in the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and standards.

Job Qualifications
▪ LISW or LPCC with an unencumbered license in the state of Ohio.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
▪ Develop, maintain, and implement effective financial, strategic, and tactical plans for the specialized services.
▪ Use quality and process improvement methodology to assess client servicing, workflow, and ensure continual operational improvements.
▪ Build, foster, and ensure an integrated continuum of care.
▪ Ensure compliance plans and procedures are followed at all service locations
▪ Ensure all services operate according to contract and regulatory requirements maintaining the highest standards of ethics and accountability.
▪ Partner with key stakeholders and work with them to ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and funding agencies such as SAMHSA, OhioMAS, Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), accreditation authorities, and ADAMHA Board.
▪ Work collaboratively with the senior and operations leadership as well as members of the quality and compliance team to develop and integrate performance measures, prepare for audits, implement changes, reporting requirements, and evaluations for certifications. Help to design and implement corrective action plans to address deficiencies or findings on audits.
▪ Provides clinical supervision, leadership, and direction for the development of strategies to promote the recruitment, recognition, and retention of staff.
▪ Promote the organization's commitment to reducing disparities through hiring, training, and developing diverse team members.
▪ Develop a communication system that ensures all employees have the relevant, timely, and appropriate information to execute on organizational and operational goals.
▪ Develop and share the expectations that guide, motivate, and hold people accountable for their work.
▪ Maintain an open-door policy that continually provides feedback, coaching, and development on an on-going basis.
▪ Seek opportunities to develop new services, expand contracts, and work with the Chief of Institutional Advancement to diversify funding that fits within the mission.
▪ Participates in the development and implementation of new programming, including evidence-based practices, to support organizations' goals and objectives and meet client needs by participating in various functional and management committee meetings and identifying industry trends and funding requirements.
▪ Monitor and improve the financial performance of the department.
▪ Ensure the annual department budgets are developed effectively, services operate within budgets, and variances are communicated.
▪ Supervises, demonstrates, and understands effective client (patient) care.
▪ Continually monitor client satisfaction by monitoring client performance and feedback.
▪ Represent the organization and promote a positive organizational image by participating in community meetings, training seminars, and joint-venture collaborations.
▪ Ensures compliance with all health and safety requirements, program audit standards, and performance contracting requirements by SAMHSA through the preparation and oversight of statistical and service reports, summaries, case records, and other documents for inter/intra-organization communications, development/updating of agreements, and other administrative reports as requested.
▪ Ensure compliance with all CMHC criteria
▪ Coordinate with other service providers to develop agreements and monitor the delivery of specified services.
▪ Lead development of viable sustainability plan for the continuation of CMHC after SAMHSA's two-year grant funding period.
