Associate Account Manager

Responsible for positioning and cross-selling Red Hat's solutions and services while also expanding our accounts with key DoD customers. Required to work closely with Product Engineering, Professional Services, and Product Support teams to ensure a premium customer experience with Red Hat's offerings. As a DoD Sales Account Executive, position also requires customer-facing sales skills and deep technical knowledge of enterprise software, including operating systems, virtualization, middleware deployments, and cloud computing, as well as established relationships within the accounts covered. Develops new accounts and/or expands existing accounts within an established agency, agencies, or geographic territory. Incumbents in this position may require a security clearance. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 7+ years of field and solutions business to business (B2B) sales experience; 5+ years specifically focused on operations, sustainment, research and development efforts provided by Air Force and/or Space Force customers and supporting Federal System Integrators.
- Working knowledge of U.S. Air Force procurement organizations and key decision makers and stakeholders
- 3+ years of direct working relationship with DoD ecosystem and channel partners.
- Hold at least a Secret Clearance or be able to obtain clearance at that level at minimum
- Proven record of working closely with customers to produce solutions that exceed their business expectations
- Extensive background in consultative customer engagement with either a major provider of enterprise software or within the sales division of an enterprise software reseller
- Broad experience with the government acquisition process
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large companies
- Solutions selling mindset and ability to work in an environment with multiple offerings and services
- Proven ability to work seamlessly with global cross-functional teams to achieve success for customers
- Excellent balance of strategic and tactical skills
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
