Lead Finance Business Partner

The Team:

The Finance Business Partner organization is a critical team within Celonis. The team operates in a highly visible environment to executive leadership and is a key player in setting Celonis's strategic & financial objectives. The goals of the business partnering include:

• Guiding executive partners to achieve their operational & financial objectives
• Providing objective, data-driven insights that assist in strategic decision making
• Build KPI Frameworks that measure business performance
• Drive the overall financial performance and -success of Celonis

The Role:

Celonis has experienced rapid year on year growth over the past three years and is at a critical point in its overall journey. 

The Senior Finance Business Partner will be a key part of a fast paced and highly effective global Business Finance team. This role will help build the financial planning structure to support business leaders in executing global strategic initiatives that drive growth for Celonis. This role will report into the VP Finance, Strategy & Operations and work closely and directly with the global business leaders especially in Services, Academy and Customer Support   

• Analyze large data sets & present findings to finance & business partner senior leadership
• Build operational tools that help drive the business to their financial & strategic goals
• Work cross-functionally with the Marketing, Services, and Corporate FP&A teams
• Drive relentless automation of financial assets to ensure timely & accurate reporting

The work you’ll do:

• Finance business partnership support for our global Services, Academy & Customer Support organization and Celonis’ Executive Team— build trusted relationships with key business partners, Providing objective, data-driven insights that assist in strategic decision making, combining commercial acumen and providing insightful recommendations
• Communicate and present financial performance and forward-looking performance projections to business leaders and executive management
• Provide advice & guidance to our senior business leaders through concrete actions for control in business execution and performance improvement tracking
• Develop monthly and quarterly management reporting — analyzing financial results, distilling key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and presenting key messages to senior leadership
• Build and deploy global financial models and operational processes, including long range planning and annual operating plan 
• Drive comprehensive financial planning and rolling forecasting for core GTM KPIs (e.g. ACV, ARR, Revenue, and Productivity)
• Develop and analyze key performance indicators across supporting key business stakeholders 
• Ad-hoc financial analysis to assess new strategic initiatives and projects

The qualifications you need:

• BA/BS degree, concentrations in Finance, Economics, and/or Accounting preferred
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in business finance, consulting or related fields with proven business acumen. Technology and/or SaaS experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills; can establish credibility, build consensus, and partner cross-functionally without direct authority
• Ability to embrace ambiguity and break down complex problems to provide clear and effective recommendations
• Impeccable analytical skills and intellectual curiosity to understand drivers and outcomes. Drive for automation of financial assets to ensure ongoing business visibility & accurate reporting
• Advanced Excel skills with attention to detail; experience working with Celonis, Salesforce, Workday, Anaplan and/or other data- & BI tools is a plus 
• Team player with the ability to partner cross functionally in growing global organization
