Carrier Climate Solutions Americas (CSA) has a role open for an Associate Director, Distribution Centers & Logistics to drive strategic, operational, and financial performance of a multi-site distribution network for the HVAC business units in North America - seven distribution centers totaling almost 4 million square feet and 500 employees, including 3PL. Partnering closely with Sales, SIOP, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Services, the Associate Director ensures the seamless flow of goods across the network, drives operational excellence, and leads large‑scale initiatives that support company growth, customer satisfaction, and long‑term supply chain strategy. The Associate Director serves as the primary architect of distribution and transportation strategy, balancing high‑level vision with hands‑on leadership across a complex, high‑volume environment.

This is an onsite role in Indianapolis, IN, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, U.S.A, or potentially any Carrier office in the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across seven distribution centers (total of ~4 million sqft and 500 employees including 3PL), ensuring consistent execution of receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.

  • Drive customer on-time-delivery metric, aligned with customer expectations.

  • Develop and execute the long‑term distribution and transportation strategy aligned with organizational goals.

  • Lead network optimization initiatives, including capacity planning, facility layout design, automation, and continuous improvement programs.

  • Establish KPIs and performance standards that drive efficiency, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness across all sites.

  • Partner with executive leadership to shape overall operations, including inventory flow, transportation models, and customer service expectations.

  • Drive standardization of processes, systems, and best practices across all facilities.

  • Direct all outbound transportation activities, including carrier management, routing optimization, freight cost control, and service performance.

  • Evaluate and implement transportation technologies and tools to improve visibility, efficiency, and customer delivery performance.

  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with carriers, brokers, and logistics partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.

  • 5+ years of proven success leading multi‑site distribution networks of significant scale.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing transportation networks, including carrier management, routing, freight optimization, and cost control.

  • 5+ years of strong background in 3PL management, contract negotiation, and performance governance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MBA or related discipline) is strongly preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of distribution center operations, warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS).

  • Expertise in network optimization, capacity planning, and process standardization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $174,500.00 - $348,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
