Group Air Project Manager

 

About the role
The Group Air Project Manager is a pivotal role within our team, responsible for overseeing the booking process for group airline reservations. This position is designed to ensure clients are guided on our services while qualifying their meeting requests. You will provide support to event managers and meeting planners, playing a key role in the successful execution of meetings and events.

 

As a Group Air Project Manager, you will

  • Serve as the global communication lead for air processes, procedures, and policies within the M&E team.
  • Manage all Group Air and Meetings Air technology processes.
  • Act as the primary contact for all Group Air requests for small travel-only events.
  • Provide advisory support on processes and best practices for globally attended events.
  • Assist with air fare estimates and air connectivity needs.
  • Maintain communication between the travel team, Group Air team, visa team, and Meetings & Events.
  • Create and maintain GDS meeting details while qualifying and assigning meeting information to appropriate teams.
  • Utilize BCD tools, GDS, and systems to ensure quality control and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Pull daily reports on air booking data and update necessary tools to reflect current statuses.
  • Facilitate the traveler approval process to guarantee successful delivery of group meetings and travel events.

  • Managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Solving problems effectively with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Communicating clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
  • Utilizing your understanding of the travel industry, including airline supplier rules and group bookings.
  • Operating independently while also collaborating well within a team environment.

 

You might also have

  • Knowledge of meeting program elements and experience with group bookings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with database systems (preferred).
