We are seeking a production-minded Production Supervisor for our Metairie, LA location to oversee and coordinate packaging and processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards.

- Guiding the team in daily tasks and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Supervise and monitor the performance of personnel, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Oversee the production process and collaborate with other departments to coordinate the timely delivery of materials and ensure continuous production.
- Ensure operations meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the production of high-quality packaged products.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Train new personnel on standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Provide ongoing training and support to ensure the team remains efficient and up to date with best practices.
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and audits to identify and address potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Work closely with the inventory department to manage stock levels of packaging materials.
- Monitor and report any shortages or discrepancies in inventory.
- Maintain effective communication with other team leads, supervisors, and management to address production issues, share updates, and collaborate on improvements.
- Address any production issues promptly and efficiently, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of production outputs, quality control checks, and any incidents or deviations.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators and share them with management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with management and other relevant stakeholders to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen
- 5+ years of industrial/plant operations experience within a lead or supervisory role preferred
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a production driven environment
- Canning or bottling experience a plus!
- Experience hooking up to and from tanks
- Communicate with all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated success within a safety-focused environment
- Computer literate
- MS Office Suite – Excel and Word
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, stoop, bend, climb and stand for long periods of time
