Summary

 

Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Site Manager or Production Supervisor.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

 

• Maintains the safe working condition of facility equipment, building, and grounds
• Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as scheduled to decrease downtime
• Repairs facility equipment, building, and grounds
• Removes and/or installs equipment for safe, efficient operation
• Troubleshoots electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to determine causes of failures and recommends solutions for repair
• Maintains cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of maintenance equipment and tools
• Additional duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements / Education / Experience

 

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of industrial experience in electrical or mechanical support functions
• Must be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical and mechanical operations and components
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints a plus
• Welding and/or fabrication experience a plus
• Working knowledge of three phase motors and 480-volt equipment

 

Physical Environment

 

• Lifting requirements are up to 50 pounds
• Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching
• Standing for extended periods
