About You
Treasury is looking for a Principal Roving Financial Analyst to join the Budget and Finance Division to undertake analysis of financial information and provide advice to inform options to develop fiscally sustainable budget and financial policies.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-priority initiatives across Treasury’s Budget and Finance Division.
You will be a motivated and capable individual with strong project delivery, analytical, and communication skills. Your success requires the ability to navigate complex challenges, develop practical solutions, and clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

About the Division
The Budget and Finance Division is responsible for the preparation and monitoring of the State Budget; maintaining accounts; preparing financial statements for the Public Account; and providing advice on financial management in the public sector. The Division manages identified insurable risks of agencies (through the Tasmanian Risk Management Fund), common use contracts, the government procurement framework, government-owned and leased office accommodation, property sales and strategic property site redevelopments.
Hours per fortnight
Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours.
