Media Manager (Media Assets)

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain metadata management conventions, including taxonomy development and updates.
• Oversee the day-to-day lifecycle of network media assets, including ingestion, quality control (QC), archival, and retrieval.
• Act as the primary on-premises expert and liaison for integrating production assets into the Media Management System (Primestream).
• Provide enhanced pretape and ingest coverage during live broadcast hours.
• Support the archiving workflow, managing a library of over 450 million elements.
• Facilitate N+ file delivery processes and coordinate archival tasks.
• Assist in the World at War (N3) file delivery processes and coordinate archival tasks.
• Assist in the facilitation of Newsmax2 (N2) file export processes, distribution and archival tasks.
• Assist in the facilitation of Newsmax (N1) file export processes, distribution and archival tasks.
• Maintain and update tracking documentation to ensure accurate workflow reporting.
• Assist in the decommissioning of outdated media servers and contribute to the implementation of replacement systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting for Primestream Xchange to ensure optimal performance.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in media asset management systems, particularly Primestream.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle complex workflows and large-scale media libraries.
• Attention to detail in maintaining metadata, tracking documents, and archiving processes.
• Experience with media ingest, QC, and archival workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to media systems and servers.
