BASIC PURPOSE:

The Human Resources Administrator provides leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. The HR Administrator will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate compliant human resource policies, procedures and best practices ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s vision, mission and talent strategy.

MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES:

1. Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and culture; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

2. Collaborates with leadership to develop plans and strategies to support the achievement of the organization’s goals and overall business operations objectives and strategy related talent management. 

3. Partners with the leadership team to develop and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

4. Provides support and guidance to HR team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

5. Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

6. Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.

7. Develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.

8. Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.

9. Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.

10. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

11. Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety and related regulations; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

12. Develops and implements departmental budget. 

13. Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.

14. Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.

15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

· Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Works in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled office area.

· Physical exertion required no more than 20% of the time.

· Minimal exposure to infectious diseases.

· Good communication skills both verbal and written with ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,  or related field required

Licensure/ Certification:  SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP desired 

Experience: At least 5 years of human resource management experience required.
