With sustainability constantly evolving we take a dynamic approach to make a real impact across our value chain, focusing on responsible sourcing, minimizing our footprint and connecting people from all walks of life. </strong></p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>The internship starts in September 2023, and is for a period of 5-6 months.</strong><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>To start with, the position of Finance Intern within Global Coffee & Tea Sourcing sits comfortably in the Global Coffee & Tea Sourcing Finance department at the international headquarter based in Utrecht office. An incredible diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! And as a Finance Intern within Global Coffee & Tea Sourcing you will be asked to support the finance team in their daily activities. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said we like you to support the international finance team on:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>month-end closing and reporting activities </strong></li><li><strong>daily and weekly governance and control tasks </strong></li><li><strong>hedging activities </strong></li><li><strong>activities in the purchase to pay process</strong></li><li><strong>projects for JDE or your study / thesis</strong></li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>We are looking for a pioneer with a drive for excellence. Given the nature of the role we feel it’s important for you to have a willingness to learn as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We do, of course, take into consideration your English fluency but ultimately we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>You should be a student enrolled in BSc or MSc education looking for an internship or project (graduation projects can be discussed)</strong></li><li><strong>To be considered for this position, you need to be enrolled in BSc or MSc education during the full period of the internship</strong></li><li><strong>Finance, business administration, controlling direction</strong></li><li><strong>You like to work with numbers, accurate, analytical</strong></li><li><strong>You are a team player, enthusiastic, pro-active and curious.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Important:</strong> <strong>To be considered as a candidate for this internship,</strong> </p><ul><li>EU/EEA students: you <strong>need to be enrolled at a University for the whole duration of the internship and this needs to be a mandatory part of your study curriculum. </strong>In case of voluntarily internship purpose, a tri-parties agreement may be requested to be signed by you and your university. </li><li><strong>Non-EU/EEA students: you need to be enrolled at a Dutch University and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement</strong>. <strong>The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (eg, receive ECTS in </strong><strong>turn).</strong> <strong> </strong> </li></ul><p><strong>This position is an intern </strong><strong>role</strong><strong> under JDE’s international headquarter based in Utrecht office.
