Food Systems and Human Factors Research Manager (NASA HHPC)

Leidos Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) is seeking a Food Systems and Human Factors Research Manager in Houston, Texas.

The Section Manager will become a manager of Leidos employees supporting Food Systems and Human Factors Research on the HHPC and will work with the Leidos HHPC Program Manager as well as multiple technical customers (KBR and NASA).This pivotal role offers an opportunity to lead cutting-edge research projects while retaining a significant portion of your technical assignments with the HHPC program.

US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency and the ability to successful obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance are required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of food systems and human factors research professionals, each with significant independence in their assignments.  
• Administrative duties to include selection and hiring of Leidos HHPC staff, performance assessments, promotions, job actions, career planning and training, leadership assessment, mentoring, merit distribution, rewards and recognition and terminations.
• Maintain Leidos expertise within technical staff and projects. 
• Liaison with program, project, and customer management to develop resource and staffing forecasts to meet customer needs.
• Participate in Leidos HHPC Strategic discussions.
• Participate in Leidos HHPC new business pursuits.

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS or equivalent education and 5+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
• At least 2+ years' experience supervising or leading teams or projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading Food Systems and Human Factors Research Projects
• Experience working on NASA Systems Engineering and Integration (SEI) Division
• Experience in new business captures/pursuits.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
