We are seeking to hire candidates for our Systems Analyst (3003).

Salary Range: $70,668.00-$88,348.00
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
Develops, coordinates, monitors and reports on critical Risk Management data focused on claims, and captive insurance operations. Provides support for analytical and administrative projects to develop, monitor and improve efficiency and performance.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifies, assesses, and prioritizes potential risks while analyzing data to create models and strategies.
- Coordinates and consolidates financial, ridership, and other operational data to support the underwriting efforts of SEPTA’s insurance captive, Broad Street Risk Solutions.
- Assists with the oversight of all databases in captive insurance and Workers’ Compensation & FELA programs, managing new systems design and implementation.
- Provides management with reports that will establish and track efficiency of performance standards and determine where updates are required. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
- Uses the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) provided by SEPTA’s Third-Party Administrator for Absence Management Program to create and distribute reports which track SEPTA claims performance. Interfaces with TPA on all technical aspects of claims, including data integrity.
- Supports SEPTA’s Absence Management Program by producing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to track performance against goals.
- Interfaces with other Departments within the Office of the General Counsel in tracking and communicating statistical data and/or operational requirements, i.e., claim reserves per best practices.
- Supports the various Departments within the Office of the General Counsel to produce monthly KPI reports.
- Responsible for the preparation of statistical/analytical reports as required by Risk Management and other Office of General Counsel departments.
- Develops systems and processes to monitor risks in real-time.
- Provides administrative services and support to Manager, Risk Management Information Systems.
- Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years’ experience as a Systems Analyst or similar position. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of experience in Insurance and Financial Services Industry or related field and education (i.e., two (2) years of related experience, equating to one (1) year of formal post-high school education) may be considered.
- Experience with captive insurance programs
